While learning from home kids may be missing their desks at school. We know how they love to add something personal to make it feel like their own.
These DIY pencil pots will add some colour to their home workspace and are a great way to keep them busy.
Depending what you have in the house we have two options!
Option 1 – Tin Pencil Pots
What you will need:
- Yarn
- Empty tin
- Glue or double sided cellotape
Step one: Clean out your old tin can and make sure their are no sharp edges
Step two: Use glue or double sided cellotape to create a sticky even layer around the tin
Step three: Pick your yarn either using one colour throughout or mixing the colours as you go
Option 2 – Jar Pencil Pots
What you will need:
- Paint
- A Jar
- A marker
Step one: Clean out an old jam jar
Step two: Add a little bit of your paint colour of choice to the inside of the jar, put your lid back on and shake
Step three: Pour out excess paint and leave to dry
Step four: Use a marker to draw a face on the outside of your jar
Enjoy and come back next week for more arts and crafts!
