Throughout this year I’ve teamed up with for Marshes Shopping Centre as part of their Front Row launch. I’m super excited to be teaming up with Marshes for a series of fashion posts sharing my top shopping and style tips for the Christmas season ahead. For today’s post we’re looking at Christmas outfits, and sharing some inspiration for what to wear this festive season, even when staying at home.

Planning outfits during the festive period can be tricky at the best of times, now more than ever it’s important to strike the balance between comfortable and chic, whether you’re out for dinner, or catching up over a zoom call. So, I’ve put together a series of easy Christmas outfits using items I picked up in-store this week. You’ll notice I’m mostly focusing on separates, which are by far the easiest to re-style into multiple looks, giving you more outfit options this festive season.

LOOK 1: TARTAN SUIT

Suit & Heels: Penneys

For this first look, I wanted to go all out with the festive vibes, so this two-piece tartan suit I picked up in Penneys is absolutely perfect. It can be broken up into separates for a more understated look with a pop of tartan, or worn together for maximum impact. I style this for day time with flats and a cosy polo knit underneath, and also for the evening time styled with a cami top, a chic pair of heels and clutch.

LOOK 2: TWEED SKIRT & POLONECK

Skirt, Polo neck & Beret: Penneys Boots: H&M

Again, this outfit comprises of easy separates that can be dressed up or down. I especially love tweed-effect fabrics at Christmas time as they always look chic and elegant without being too dressy, perfect for Christmas day dinner. Here I have styled the tweed skirt with a simple polo neck, just throw on a pair of knee-high boots, and your favourite cosy coat or blazer and your look is complete!

LOOK 3: CHECK SKIRT & POLONECK

Skirt & Knit: Penneys

Another example of great separates that work well together is this gorgeous plaid skirt and cream knit. The neutral tones work really well together, and both items can be styled separately into different looks, and dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

ADDITIONAL SEPARATES:

Blouses, Beret & Slipover: Penney’s

Polo neck Slipovers are a great way to add layers without bulking up, I always recommend having one packed away in your suitcase. I also love having one or two satin blouses in either a print or block colour, they’re great for dressing up or down and always look put together despite being lightweight and comfortable.

So there you have it! Three easy outfits to wear this Christmas season, and each item can be mix & matched, giving you endless choice! I definitely recommend checking out some of the incredible high street brands that Marshes Shopping Centre has to offer, there is so much choice under one roof that you’re sure to find the perfect style for you.

My shopping experience felt so safe and comfortable at Marshes. There are so many sanitisation stations and floor markings dotted around the centre that I felt totally at ease browsing my favourite stores in one place.

Lots of love,

Ciara
